Chainsaw Man movie trailer
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc doesn’t have a trailer yet. A brief teaser was released alongside the film’s announcement, with a visual of Reze, who’s a major character this arc.
Some awkward scenes between Denji and Reze are teased, since they become romantically involved. A bit of mournful piano plays over the montage, framing their partnership in appropraitely tragic fashion. Don’t get too attached to this one, friends!
What will happen in the Chainsaw Man movie?
The Chainsaw Man movie is adapting the Reze Arc, a storyline that involves a Soviet spy named Reze, who merged with the Bomb Devil, on a mission to assassinate Denji. Reze is the woman we see in the teaser, and despite her best intentions, her and Denji develop a bond that makes her attempt to kill him difficult.

The Reze Arc is sometimes known as the Bomb Girl Arc, and it lasts 13 chapters. That’s a safe amount of plot for something feature-length, and it leaves three full arcs (45 chapters) of the Public Safety Saga for the next season of Chainsaw Man.
So far, the Chainsaw Man manga has been split into two parts: the Public Safety Saga and the still-ongoing Academy Saga. There’s plenty of ground to cover before the show catches up to the manga, but given the production value, it’s good for Studio MAPPA to pace themselves too. Not least because of the concerns around workload and crunch at the production house.
Is Chainsaw Man Season 2 happening?
Chainsaw Man Season 2 has not yet been confirmed. Right now, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is the only announced followup to the first season.
There’s a non-zero possibility that the Reze Arc still becomes part of Chainsaw Man Season 2, similar to Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. After Mugen Train made bank in cinemas, the movie was edited down into episodes to form the first part of Demon Slayer Season 2.
For now, that’s just speculation, and Chainsaw Man Season 2 is off the table.
