Jujutsu Kaisen is a popular battle shonen with a complex power system which makes it difficult to rank the strongest characters.
While Jujutsu Kaisen manga will draw its conclusion in September 2024, the anime has only two seasons and a prequel movie. As of September 2024, the third season is currently under production and has yet to announce a release date.
The story is set in a world where negative emotions pile up and give birth to cursed spirits threatening people’s safety. Jujutsu sorcerers risk their lives to defeat those curses and also guide young students to do the same.
However, the battle against curses is never-ending. The anime has introduced several powerful characters, but who among them is the strongest?
10. Jogo
Jogo may be one of the most powerful curses in the series, but he always got overshadowed after fighting characters way above his league. However, his innate technique and Domain Expansion are deadly.
His power is estimated by comparing him to eight to nine fingers of Ryomen Sukuna. As the only fire user in the series except for Sukuna, Jogo’s flames are hot enough to burn just about anything.
9. Hanami
Hanami is also one of the unregistered special grade curses. Their innate technique allows them to manifest the illusions of cursed plants into reality. Apart from the varying extension techniques of “Disaster Plants,” Hanami can also use anti-domain techniques and Domain Expansion.
Hanami tried to expand their Domain during their fight with Yuji and Todo when the duo charged the flower on their shoulder with cursed energy. However, it was interrupted when the curtain keeping out Gojo was dispelled. In Shibuya, Hanami dies easily while fighting Satoru Gojo.
8. Dagon
Dagon is one of the disaster curses, who became a fully fleshed-out curse in Season 2. In Shibuya, Dagon ate countless humans to gain strength quickly and easily overwhelm the sorcerers after using his Domain Expansion.
As soon as the sorcerers attack him, he expands his domain, a tropical beach with a forest of palm trees on one side of the shore. It allows Dagon’s shikigami to hit its target automatically. The fish appear instantaneously from the target’s perspective, making them nearly impossible to block because the shikigami don’t exist until they hit the target, instantly devouring their flesh.
7. Mahito
Despite being a new curse, Mahito rapidly develops his skills after eating several humans. He even has Domain Expansion, the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery.
Mahito’s idle transfiguration technique gives him the ability to touch and disfigure his enemies or whoever he wants to die. Besides that, his superfast speed and reflexes let him attack and dodge the opponents’ assault.
6. Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro is the main antagonist in the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc. Despite having no cursed energy, his innate physical strength allows him to compete with the most potent sorcerers, including young Gojo and Geto.

His heavenly-restricted body grants him superhuman speed and reflexes making him an invincible entity who can land blows and dodge the opponent’s attacks with ease.
5. Suguru Geto
Suguru Geto was one of the four special-grade sorcerers during his time at Jujutsu High. With the ability to consume cursed spirits, he became someone who flaunted multiple cursed energies.
Apart from that, his Maximum Uzumaki is an extension of his innate technique, which combines a massive number of collected curses into one powerful attack. While Geto loses against Toji in his high school years, he gets more powerful in more than a decade.
4. Mahoraga
Mahoraga is one of Megumi’s untamed Shikigami. It is considered the most dangerous and uncontrollable shikigami that stems from the aforementioned system. No one in history has been able to tame it. Whenever someone unleashes an attack on the Shikigami, the wheel on his head rotates, helping it to adapt to the phenomena used on him.
This ability allows Mahoraga to adapt while its feet are in battle. The more attacks it takes, the more it adapts. That way, it crafts a final strategy or, rather, a blueprint to counter even the strongest move or domain expansion of the enemy.
3. Yuta
Yuta is also a special-grade sorcerer like Gojo, who was introduced as the main protagonist of the prequel movie. He is said to be second only to Satoru Gojo. In the Season 2 finale, Yuta finally makes his debut in the story. Although he hasn’t fought anyone in Shibuya, he has shown enough prowess to be considered one of the most powerful characters.
His innate technique, ‘Copy,’ paired with the special-grade apparition Rika, is a force to be reckoned with. Thanks to that, he defeated Suguru Geto, who was controlling thousands of curse spirits.
2. Satoru Gojo
Satoru Gojo is the strongest sorcerer in the modern era. He is blessed with Six Eyes and a Limitless technique. Gojo has an immeasurable level of Cursed energy. His Hollow Purple is one of the most powerful techniques in the verse.
That, paired with Gojo’s Domain Expansion and Reverse Cursed Technique sets him apart from other sorcerers. Even now, there’s no other sorcerer close to his level, except Sukuna, of course.
1. Sukuna
Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses is the main villain in the series. Even 1/20th of his power is considered far more dangerous than a special-grade curse. His Domain Expansion is the most offensive one in the series so far.
In the Shibuya Incident Arc, Yuji gains the power of a total of fifteen fingers which allows Sukuna to take over the former’s body for about 30 minutes. Sukuna effortlessly defeats Mahoraga and burns down a major part of Shibuya before destroying Yuji mentally.
