Tower of God Season 2 is on track for release this summer, and a recent tease has revealed some changes to the animation that fans have found very welcome.
Tower of God debuted back in 2020, and the first season was met with generally good reviews. Fans enjoyed how the anime show captured the charm and themes of the manhwa by S.I.U., but the animation didn’t always seem as good.
Sequences were missing a certain level of flow that prevented the series from competing with the likes of Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen. Thankfully, Tower of God Season 2 seems to be rectifying that.
Now four years since the premiere, that time appears to have gone into getting everything to the next level in terms of quality, and the audience are already invested.

Though short, it’s enough to have relieved some worries about the end product. “Finally some quality animation for this peak season,” says one user on YouTube. “I am surprised to not be disappointed,” a commenter on Reddit added.
The first season was handled by Telecom Animation Film, a company with a long number of credits, including some very familiar to English-speaking territories like Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Shenmue: The Animation.
Some fans are speculating that this next season is with someone else. Certainly, the length of time for new episodes might suggest a change of hands, but longer wait times are normal in anime, too.
It could be another outfit, or it could just simply be that Telecom took the time to rectify issues that arose from the first season. All we can say for now is that Tower of God Season 2 looks good, and we’ll get to see more in July 2024.
