Spring 2024 is on its way with an incredible lineup of new anime, but not all of them are getting the hype they deserve.
Winter 2024’s anime has generally been underwhelming, except for very few fantastic series like Solo Leveling, Classroom of the Elite Season 3, and Mashle Season 2. Solo Leveling has undoubtedly taken over anime fans with its grand debut.
Nonetheless, Spring 2024 is going to be an incredible season for anime fans, with way more intriguing series. The lineup consists of highly-anticipated sequels and new additions to the anime world.
However, while everyone is talking about Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and even the anime debut of Kaiju No. 8, a lot of series with exciting stories fail to catch the public eye. Here’s our list of the 10 best upcoming Spring 2024 anime that deserve more hype.
10. Whisper Me a Love Song
This adorable Girls Love series will make its anime debut in Spring 2024. Based on Eku Takeshima’s manga of the same name, the story follows Yori Asanagi, a seemingly mature girl who has no experience in romance.
However, that all changes when her underclassman, Himari Kino, confesses to her after her band performance at the freshman opening ceremony. As Yori makes up her mind and tries her best to return Himari’s feelings, she realizes that Himari isn’t in love with her, but her music.
9. Wind Breaker
Based on the popular manga by Satoru Nii, Winter Breaker will be released this April. It follows Haruka Sakura, who avoids weaklings and is only interested in the strong.
He joins Furin High School, infamous for having degenerates known for their brawling strength. They use their strength to protect their town. However, Haruka doesn’t want to be a hero and only wants to fight his way to the top.
8. Unnamed Memory
Unnamed Memory is an upcoming Spring 2024 anime based on Kuji Furumiya’s light novel. This isekai romance story follows Oscar, the Crown Prince of the kingdom of Farsas, who seeks the power of the tower master, the Witch of the Azure Moon, Tinasha.
Suffering from a curse that will kill any woman he takes for a wife, Oscar hopes the Witch’s magic will break the curse. However, he instead decides to take Tinasha as his bride. She reluctantly agrees to live in the royal castle for a year while researching how to break the curse. However, as time passes, Tinasha’s dark past and secrets begin to resurface.
7. Mission: Yozakura Family
Based on Hitsuji Gondaira’s manga of the same name, Mission: Yozakura Family is all set for its anime debut in Spring 2024. The series incorporates comedy, action, stakes, and insanity in a fierce yet solid narrative. The story follows Taiyou Asano, a high school student socially awkward since his family’s demise in a car crash.
He only interacts with his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura, the head of the world’s strongest family of spies. However, due to Mutsumi’s overprotective brother, circumstances force Taiyou to marry Mutsumi and become a member of the Yozakura family. As Taiyou trains to become a powerful spy, his dark secrets start resurfacing.
6. A Condition Called Love
A Condition Called Love follows Hotaru Hinase, a first-year high school student. She witnesses a messy breakup of the honor student Hananoi and later encounters him sitting alone in the snow.

She extends her umbrella out of kindness. However, the next day, he appears in Hotaru’s classroom and asks her to be his girlfriend. After facing rejection, Hananoi sticks to her side and performs selfless acts to please her. Ultimately, Hotaru’s determination begins to waver as she learns more about him.
5. Tadaima, Okaeri
Tadaima, Okaeri follows the lives of a loving family where both parents are men. Masaki Fjiyoshi is a stay-at-home partner who considers himself a burden to Hiromu due to his status as an omega. The family moves with their son, Hikari, to an area better suited for raising children.
Two years have passed since then, and the family is forging meaningful bonds with those around them. However, their seemingly blissful life is in jeopardy as their past comes back to haunt them. The people Masaki and Hiromu left behind to pursue their new life have returned, and not with the best intentions.
4. Bartender: Glass of God
This upcoming Spring 2024 anime follows Ryuu Sasakura, a prodigy bartender who works in a lone bar named Eden Hall, hidden in the backstreets of the Ginza district. He is rumored to mix the most amazing cocktails anyone has ever tasted.
However, getting to Eden Hall is nearly impossible. One cannot find it; instead, it must find you. It finds customers with varying backgrounds, each with their own set of troubles. Nonetheless, Ryuu knows the ideal cocktail to guide each distraught person.
3. Laid-Back Camp Season 3
Laid-Back Camp is a slice-of-life series, and its third season is all set for its debut in Spring 2024. The story follows Nadeshiko, a high school student who moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi. She wants to see the famous Mount Fuji featured on the 1000 yen bill.
However, as she bikes to Motosu, she has to turn back because of bad weather. She wakes up at night and is puzzled to be in a place she’s never been before. What’s worse is that she has no idea how to get home. Luckily, she encounters Rin, a girl camping out by herself. And thus, the adventurous story of Nadeshiko and Rin begins.
2. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf
The Spice and the Wolf anime is getting a reboot in Spring 2024. Based on Isuna Hasekura’s Spice & Wolf, the new anime will tell the same story of Kraft Lawrence and his meeting with the wolf-diety Holo. Lawrence, a traveling merchant, finds Holo sleeping in his cart.
She bargains with the merchant to take her along on his travels in exchange for sharing her wisdom of “Holo the Wisewolf” and increasing his profits. Thus, Lawrence’s life turns upside down after taking along an ancient wolf.
1. Black Butler: Public School Edition
Black Butler will always be one of the best dark fantasy anime and manga series. The new season will cover the Public School arc from the manga. It takes place in Weston College, the most prestigious public school in Great Britain, which does not tolerate government interference.
However, several students refuse to come home and cease all communication with their families. This includes Derrick Arden, the son of Queen Victoria’s cousin. Now it’s up to Ciel and demon butler Sebastian to uncover the secret behind these strange incidents.
