What happens in the Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training movie?
Before the highly-anticipated season arrives in April 2024, the franchise released a special movie to promote it. The upcoming season will adapt the fan-favorite Hashira Training arc from the manga. While the series is still a few months away, fans can watch the first episode in the theatres.
Within the two hours of screen time, the movie first shows the finale of the Swordsmith Village Arc, which was a one-hour special. Then, in the Hashira Training arc, we see some non-manga scenes along with the adaptation of Chapters 128, 129, the first half of 130, and the second half of 131.

The Hashira Training arc only runs from Chapters 128 to 136 in the manga, which isn’t enough to make an entire series. Hence, because the material is lacking, the franchise will adapt scenes from the light novel. It will be an entirely new experience, even for manga fans.
