The Apex Legends Battle Pass has historically been a point of contention with the community, and a few upgrades for the Season 5 pass could give it some improvements.
The disproportion between the amount of skins, charms, banner poses, audio quips, etc. to unlock and the amount of opportunities to actually get them via the Battle Pass can be improved, according to an Apex subreddit post with over 1K upvotes at the time of writing.
While there are ways to acquire more Loot Ticks other than the Battle Pass, some feel that there needs to be a healthier number of them made available as you progress through the season’s rewards.
Moreover, increasing the chances for the variety of loot in them can help fill out some of the items and skins that players have yet to collect.
“Right now, we get 12 Loot Ticks per Battle Pass,” Reddit user ‘Narukami_7’ explained. “Five of them being on the free side. That leaves seven Loot Ticks in a paid Battle Pass; one of them is Legendary (sweet) and another one is Epic, which is also cool. At the rate items and Legends are introduced, the loot pool becomes almost gargantuan.”
It also doesn’t help that the voice lines and Legends stats help make the chances of scoring something good feel “suffocated” with all of the types of loot, according to Narukami_7.

The user also pointed out how naturally leveling up to the 500 cap will make earning any Loot Tick much more “scarce, and the grinding will begin to feel unsatisfying.”
This will, in turn, make the chances of scoring something good in the Loot Tick that much more unnerving, if a hard fought chance to earn something good turns into a pack filled with voice lines and another Mozambique skin.
To help out the situation, the Apex Legends Season 5 Battle Pass could be structured to offer more ways of earning Loot Ticks.
Narukami_7 came to a solution: “Doubling the amount of Loot Ticks on the BP will make a huge difference and will keep people motivated in hopes of getting something cool, and maybe work their way (and the numbers) to that sweet first heirloom.”
The Apex Legends community wouldn’t mind seeing an increase to the amount of Loot Ticks they can earn, while also getting a better variety of items that come in them and the chances to acquire rare loot in Season 5.
