However, one legendary skin in particular – which will be a grind to capture – looks like it may be worth the effort to secure.
Reddit users picked up on an earlier comment made by one of the Respawn Entertainment devs, Leeeeeee-RSPN, in the post about of the philosophy behind Apex Legends Season 1 that gave a little insight into one of the newest skins in the game.
The dev commented: “The level 100 Havoc skin is the first ever 3-stage evolving Legendary weapon skin. As you get more kills (within the match), its eyes glow and its nostrils emit smoke, etc.”
Eagle-eyed fans spotted the weapon in the trailer for season one without realizing what they had seen – with some believing it was the previously leaked L-Star rifle. However, after it was cleared up that the gun they saw was the Havoc, Leeeeeee-RSPN returned with a further comment.
The dev added: “Showin’ that sweet VFX green nostril flare!,” in reference to the gun’s new reactive effects being showcased before its release.

Following the release of the Season 1 update on March 19, data miners managed to uncover some new video on what the skin looks like in action, as well.

The Havoc, an energy rifle, was introduced into the battle royale title on February 20 as the game’s first new weapon.
It looks like it could become a staple of player’s arsenals moving forward – should the level 100 mountain be conquered.
