Respawn released update 1.99 for Apex Legends which seems to have fixed various issues the development team was investigating.
Apex Legends players have been calling for Respawn to address a variety of issues plaguing the game, such as input lag affecting Xbox Series X gameplay.
Apex Legends’ 1.98 patch came with the release of the Awakening Collection Event, but a variety of issues and bugs, unfortunately, followed suit.
Now, Respawn has rolled out a very small patch which seems to have fixed a handful of smaller issues players have brought to the team’s attention as of late.
Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes
Respawn has yet to release official patch notes for the 1.99 update, but there are a few things some players have confirmed online about the patch.
For one, it seems Respawn has slightly tweaked Lifeline’s Town Takeover POI on Olympus, as players can now interact with the drum set and guitars around the building to play music.
Additionally, Twitter user ‘KralRindo‘ claims they’ve noticed changes to Newcastle’s tactical ability as well as some sort of Replicator change that isn’t confirmed just yet.

While Respawn claimed to be investigating recent issues such as Loba’s tactical not working on Stormpoint or Xbox players having issues with their mics, it’s yet to be confirmed if those issues have been addressed.

Unfortunately, it seems that Xbox Series X players are still experiencing input lag according to Reddit user ‘O2UK8120’ who claimed the 1.99 update “definitely has not fixed the input lag in the slightest.”
Additionally, Respawn is still investigating the ongoing issues involving Wraith’s hit-reg, though it’s unknown if that bug was fixed in the 1.99 update either.
Official patch notes for update 1.99 seem unlikely, as the team doesn’t usually post patch notes for updates this small.
