Apex Legends is still in the early cycle of its life but emerging stars are already starting to crop up. While some might point to shroud as the best Legend around, DrLupo thinks a rising talent reigns supreme.
Apex Legends is Respawn Entertainment’s contribution to the battle royale genre, which has thus far been a mega-hit with fans, bringing in players from all over the gaming space.
During a stream on February 22, DrLupo was in disbelief over the insane Apex skills that NRG’s Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows showed off, leading to a glowing review from the longtime streamer.
Y'all, @dizzfila is the best player I have ever seen in @PlayApex. Holy shit.

DrLupo had been knocked from the gaming when squadmate dizzy felt it was time to live up to his name, as he went on an absolute tear that left Lupo completely dumbfounded and literally floored.

“It is unbelievable to watch you (dizzy) play. It is absolutely unbelievable,” DrLupo said. “You are a monster. Dude, it is insane… There are other players that are good: shroud is phenomenal, but you are the best player I have ever seen at Apex by a mile.”

It didn’t seem like DrLupo was the only one feeling that way, as his Twitch Chat had collectively lost their minds when seeing dizzy single handedly take down an entire squad in the storm.
During that engagement, dizzy showed expert skill in managing aggression to somehow juggle his health, abilities, and the full squad he was facing all while inside the storm that was slowly damaging him.
The 18-year-old has won both the Code Red Apex Legends $20k tourney as well as the North American Twitch Rivals: APEX Legends Challenge, and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Lupo’s praise sure is high, but it seems it’s very well deserved from the young talent and it will be interesting to see how he develops in Apex Legends.
