A massive new teaser has appeared in Apex Legends, further suggesting that the next playable character will be Crypto.
With Season 3 in Apex Legends now on the horizon, players are looking more and more forward to which new Legend will be introduced in the popular battle royale.
While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, most of the leaks and in-game hints have pointed to it being Crypto, whose abilities will mainly be focused around hacking.
The latest Crypto teaser, which looks to be his biggest yet, went live in-game on September 13, featuring what many are believing was a failed hacking attempt of the Kings Canyon map.

It all began when players loaded into matches and found screens showing a loading bar, with no further context provided.
Once the loading bar hit 100%, the Kings Canyon announcer’s voice began to distort, and an odd computer code began filling the large screens that hang from the canyons and hillsides.

However, after a short while, the announcer’s voice became clear again, and the test ‘ATTEMPT FAILED’ appeared in large letters on those very same screens, indicating that whatever Crypto was up to, he wasn’t successful.
While no one is certain what the writing in that computer text means, prominent data-miner ‘RealApexLeaks’ took a gander at coming up with some sort of translation.
As for what the event as a whole means in terms of Crypto, it would be hard to deny that this was another major teaser for the new Legend, and the fact that the hacking attempt “failed” probably just means that it’s not time for him to emerge yet.
There have, of course, been other leaks and teasers for him in the past, such as his laptop being found on the map, as well as a first look at his leaked Aerial Drone abilities.
