Think you’ve got Bangalore mastered in Apex Legends? Well, there are a few tips and tricks that you could be missing out on.
Ever since Apex Legends launched back in February of 2019, Bangalore has remained a decent pick for those looking to barrage their enemies with aerial bombardments. Despite offering great utility and kill potential, the professional soldier remains one of the most underrated legends in the game.
While Bangalore didn’t receive any buffs or nerfs in the Season 8 update, she does still have some incredibly strong abilities that you can use to gain an edge on the battlefield. There’s also never been a better time to play Bangalore as leakers have recently uncovered her heirloom, which will be added when the Chaos Theory event kicks off. However, before you go queueing up for that next game, make sure you check out these Banglore tips.
How to make use of Bangalore’s abilities
Passive: Double Time
The Professional Soldier’s passive enables Bangalore to move 30% faster whenever she gets hit or when bullets/grenades miss her. The effect lasts for two seconds and can get you out of many a tight situation.
Try to use your add movement speed to either aggressively flank round your foes or simply duck into cover.
Tactical: Smoke Launcher
Like all good soldiers, Bangalore knows about the importance of cover. Certain areas of Kings Canyon can be a little open and trekking through them is a surefire way to get yourself killed. Fortunately, this Legend has access to a Smoke Launcher.
When used, this ability will unleash a plume of smoke in a designated area. The launcher has two charges and can be fired twice in a row, making it particularly potent when you wish to lose your opponents or mask your movements.
Ultimate: Rolling Thunder
Bangalore’s ultimate launches a bombardment that steadily creeps over a target area, dealing 40 damage per hit and slowing the player caught within it. The explosives detonate after six seconds and land in a 6×6 square.
Once any players have been caught with the ultimate’s blast radius, simply combine your team’s ultimate and bombard them with a hail of gunfire. Rolling Thunder can also be used to zone and deny enemy squads from entering an area, so be sure to use it both defensively and offensively.

When you see Bangalore’s smoke out on the battlefield, you may immediately assume that a team is hiding within the cloud. More times than not, you’d be right – but there are some better uses for the smoke grenade.
For example, you can use the smoke to daze and confuse enemies. By sending a smoke out and running the other way, you might confuse the enemy team, which can give your squad enough time to retreat or launch a deadly surprise attack.
2. Master the pattern of the Rolling Thunder ultimate
Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder ultimate can be a nightmare for other teams to face, but it can also be a little trick to catch anyone in it due to its pattern. However, if you take a few moments in Firing Range, you can master it.
The explosives quickly rain down on the left side of where you’ve thrown it, before switching to the right. The pattern bounces back to each side once more before dropping a final blow. Learn the pattern and you will get more kills in no time.
3. Best Legends to team up with Bangalore
Obviously, your duo and trios partners will often pick legends that they’re comfortable with, but Bangalore does have a few handy sidekicks that help her out immensely.
