The Bocek Bow has been relegated to the care package in Apex Legends Season 14, and it received enough buffs to make it a marksman weapon worth fighting for. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Bocek bow.
With the Scout and the Volt out of the care package for Apex Legends Season 14, the Bocek Bow and Rampage took their place. And, to make the Bocek Bow a weapon worth seeking out, it got some serious buffs going into Season 14.
Coming stock with a 3x sight, Shatter caps, and Deadeye’s Tempo, this fully kitted Bocek Bow might as well be an entirely different weapon from the stock Bocek that’s been available on the ground since Season 9.
The Bocek Bow certainly isn’t the easiest weapon to use, but it’s capable of being a mid to long range monster that can be strong at close range in a tight situation.
Apex Legends Bocek Bow damage stats
Before checking out which hop-ups and attachments that now come stock on the bow, it’s important you familiarize yourself with the weapon’s damage profile.
While it certainly won’t pump out the same amount of damage as the Spitfire or Volt, the bow rewards those who are capable of consistently landing shots. As the Bocek’s damage is dealt in chunks, it’s possible to surprise your enemies and take them out quicker than they would expect.
As with any weapon, you’ll want to be aiming for the head to make the most of the damage multiplier. However, the Bocek still does respectable damage no matter where you hit your opponent.
What makes the bow unique though, is that you can fire it fully drawn or half-drawn (increasing fire rate, but drastically reducing damage). You’re almost always better off fully charging shots.
Damage while ADS (aim down sights)
Body Part | Damage |
Head (Fully drawn) | 123 |
Body (Fully drawn) | 70 |
Head (Tap fire) | 31 |
Body (Tap fire) | 25 |
Damage while hipfiring (Shatter Caps, 7 bolt spread)
Body Part | Damage |
Head (Fully drawn) | 15 per bolt (105 max) |
Body (Fully drawn) | 12 per bolt (84 max) |
Head (Tap fire) | 8 per bolt (56 max) |
Body (Tap fire) | 6 per bolt (42 max) |
Bocek Bow hop-ups
Now that the Bocek comes standard with both Hop-Ups equipped, learning how to use them properly is more important than ever.
- Deadeye’s Tempo: Firing in an indicated pattern will increase the bow’s fire rate
- Shatter Caps: Rounds split into a blast pattern upon firing
It’s likely the Shatter Caps hop-up will act as a situational attachment for the majority of players in their Apex games. Although the blast pattern shots are certainly effective at close range, they take some real getting used to.
On the other hand, the Deadeye’s Tempo hop-up turns the Bocek into a mid-range damage machine, if you’re capable of landing your shots. Firing the weapon in the indicated pattern significantly increases the fire rate and can turn the weapon into a serious threat in the right player’s hands.
Bocek Bow optics
While it now comes stock with a 3x HCOG sight, the Bocek can still swap sights depending on player preference. Here are the scopes that can be equipped to the Bocek Bow:
- 1x Holo
- 1x HCOG
- 1x-2x Variable Holo
- 2x HCOG
- 3x HCOG
Bocek Bow tips & tricks
1. Use the bow’s silence to your advantage
Unlike the majority of weapons in Apex, the Bocek Bow’s shots are very quiet (but not completely silent), making it difficult for enemies to figure out where the arrows are coming from.

This means you can usually get two or three shots on a squad without them attempting to fight back. If all of your arrows hit their targets, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to push a weakened set of opponents and this should result in an easy wipe for your squad.
Keep in mind that the Bocek is a marksman weapon, and should be treated as such. While Shatter Caps gives the Bocek some power at close range, running it alongside an SMG, Assault Rifle, or Shotgun is ideal.
2. Put in the practice with the bow
The Bocek Bow feels completely unique compared to any other weapon in Apex Legends. Learning how to time your shots with Deadeye’s Tempo is essential, and using the Bocek close up isn’t as easy at it looks.
It may have some of the highest potential DPS out of any of the marksman weapons, but the Bocek requires a bit more finesse than something like the 30-30 Repeater or G7 Scout.
Practice with the Bocek may mean the difference between a disappointing care package weapon and a care package weapon that can win you the game. This thing is a beast in capable hands.
3. Hot swap
80 arrows is a pretty hefty amount in comparison to how many arrows players running the Bocek Bow before Season 14 would typically have had on hand. As with any other red weapon, the Bocek has the distinct advantage of freeing up a lot of inventory space.
More importantly, the Bocek doesn’t have to be reloaded. 80 rounds combined with no reload gives you the ability to outpace and outlast most opponents with standard rifles at longer ranges. Additionally, it makes the Bocek a great weapon to swap to in sticky situations.

Landing good shots with Shatter Caps isn’t easy, but it can be a close-range lifesaver. Getting in the habit of quickly swapping to the Bocek and putting out accurate shots is worth the time investment.
Additionally, running a Bocek with a golden mag secondary makes it possible to fight without ever having to reload. Sticking with the bow long enough for your other weapon to reload by itself can be the key to clutching out late-game fights.
So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the new Bocek Bow. If you follow these tips and tricks, you’ll be landing highlight-reel shots with the new and improved Bocek in no time.
