An Apex Legends glitch has been discovered which causes players to miss their shots with the Wingman due to issues with the weapon’s iron sight.
The Wingman is one of the most popular weapons in Apex Legends, as the rapid-fire revolver can allow for the most accurate players to quickly dispatch their enemies in-game.
However, after running some tests, one Apex Legends player, ottrboii, revealed that the Wingman was prone to a glitch which caused some of the weapon’s bullets to become inaccurate.

After setting up a small crosshair to mark the center of his screen when testing the gun, ottrboii explained that the inner reticle on the Wingman’s iron sights would lag behind when a player drags their aim in a certain direction.
“I instantly noticed there was a bit of a drag, where the in-game reticle lags behind the crosshair until you stop moving your mouse,” he stated while demonstrating the lag on-screen.
He then followed up by testing what effect this lag had on his bullet accuracy and surprisingly highlighted that the Wingman’s reticle did not accurately represent where your bullet would hit when moving your aim.

Instead, the bullets would travel directly to the center of your screen regardless of where the inner reticle was placed, meaning that players would likely have to shoot earlier than expected when flicking on to a new target
“The shots would only connect when your aim is on the center of the screen,” he added, before explaining that other scopes and sights, such as the 1x Holo, on the Wingman did not have the same problem as the default iron sight.

Due to the nature of the Wingman’s firing pattern, this glitch could have a huge impact on players’ accuracy as, unlike many other weapons in Apex Legends, it does not leave much room for error while in a gunfight.
However, it is likely that Respawn will be working on a fix for this glitch in a future patch, although they have not confirmed any changes to the Wingman’s iron sights as of yet.
