The next season of Apex Legends will be number 23, and it has the potential to be a really significant update, as the battle royale from Respawn heads into its sixth year.
Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has been rolling out regular content ever since its surprise launch in February 2019. Five years on, fans have had over 20 seasons of new Legends, weapons, maps and updates to the action-packed battle royale.
This is everything you can expect from Season 23 of Apex Legends, and when it will start.
When is Apex Legends Season 23?
Apex Legends Season 23 will release on November 5, 2024, at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/6 PM BST. We know this because it’s when the current battle pass for Season 22 ends, and the new season always begins right after this.
It is possible that the season could be delayed, as has happened a couple of times in the past, but otherwise, you can expect to jump in on Tuesday, November 5.
What to expect in Season 23
As we’re still a few weeks out, there’s no confirmed Season 23 details from the developers yet. However, there are a few things we can expect based on previous season launches.
First, of course, we know there will be a fresh battle pass, which are now split into two across the season, one per split. There will only be 60 levels in each pass instead of the previous 110 levels.
This change, made for Season 22, means players can earn double the Battle Pass rewards across the entire season, and they’ll still have the option to progress from level 60 – 100 to upgrade their Battle Pass badges. More rewards were added, and past rewards that weren’t being used frequently were removed.

Will there be a new Legend?
While nothing is certain yet, we can predict that a new Legend will be added, given that Season 22 did not have one.
There is now a total of 26 Legends to pick from in Apex, which is part of the reason why the developers slowed down from the previous cadence of one new legend every season, with risks of the roster becoming bloated.
So, for now, we can’t say for sure one way or another if a new character will be added, but we can be sure that we won’t get a new map.
Or a new map?
As Season 22 added the new night-time map E-District, don’t expect another new map this time around.
Instead, we are more likely to see an update to an existing map, which Respawn usually does in place of a new arena being added. We might also see some smaller maps added for Mixtape modes.
That’s everything we know about Season 23 so far. You can take a look at the Season 22 patch notes to check out all the changes from last season. For more on the game, check out how to see how many Apex Packs you’ve opened, and the current legend pick rates.
