Sentinels have confirmed their return to competitive Apex Legends with the roster that previously played under The Guard’s banner.
Sentinels dropped their Apex Legends roster after ALGS Split 1 due to poor performance and were reportedly returning to the esport for Split 2 with Spacestation Gaming’s roster, consisting of Joseph ‘Frexs’ Sanchez, Angello ‘Xenial’ Cadenas, and Mark ‘Dropped’ Thees.
However, the move appeared to be dead in the water after the trio competed at the ALGS Split 1 Finals under Spacestation. And just a day before the start of Split 2, Xenial signed with Oxygen Esports.
Just a day after the official website of ALGS Split 2 Pro League showed The Guard’s team under Sentinels’ banner, the North American organization confirmed the news.

Sentinels return to Apex Legends with The Guard lineup
The new Sentinels lineup will consist of Keon ‘Keon’ Berghout, Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy, and Cole ‘Rkn’ Prommel. After the news of The Guard’s layoffs hit the public, RamBeau spoke about his team’s situation in a live stream and revealed that the team was open to talking to other esports organizations.
The squad qualified for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs thanks to a third-place regular season performance, and finished the tournament in London in 17th place.
The now former The Guard trio will make their first appearance for Sentinels on March 11 in the ALGS Split 2 Pro League NA. The team has been seeded into Group A, alongside the likes of TSM, FaZe Clan, and Complexity.
