Streaming star Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed his thoughts on Apex Legends’ Deja Loot mode – claiming that is it “terrible” and “poorly executed.”
Following the launch of Apex Legends season 4, which finally introduced Revenant as a new legend and changed parts of the World’s Edge map, Respawn Entertainment dropped a further update in the form of the Season Override event.
With the addition of System Override, players were given the chance to grab some new cosmetics, use an all-new shield type, and even play the Deja Loot mode – which allows loot to respawn during games. Some fans have enjoyed the limited-time mode, yet, shroud hasn’t been a massive fan of the new game type.
In his most recent stream highlights video, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional had been opening System Override event packs when one viewer asked him for his thoughts on the new limited-time mode.
The Mixer streamer didn’t miss a beat and quickly responded: “What’s your real thoughts on the new game mode? Terrible. Poorly executed, as always.” Though, he didn’t offer any further thoughts about the mode before jumping into some games of Apex Legends.

As he didn’t say anything else about the new mode, it is difficult to tell what issues that shroud has with Deja Loot. Though, his descriptive use of “poorly executed,” seemingly suggests that he may have had a few changes in mind – but didn’t decide to share them.
The System Override event is set to come to a close on March 17, so the Deja Loot mode will be headed back out of the rotation. It is unlikely that the developers decide to make any tweaks before it goes away but, it remains to be seen as to whether or not they have any further limited-time game modes up their sleeves for future events.
