Shroud uses Gibraltar perfectly to win insane 1v3 Apex Legends clutch

 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional regularly takes his incredibly-honed skills into a number of different titles and finds success on a regular basis. 

Be it Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty: Blackout, or Apex Legends, the Candian has conquered them all and left opponents wondering if he was running some sort of cheat while doing so. Yet, his most recent clutch, was down to his years of perfecting movements and knowing the perfect time to strike upon his foes.

Shroud is one of Twitch’s top streamers and regularly dominates battle royale games.

During his October 5 stream, shroud had been claiming victories in Apex Legends alongside longtime teammate Tyler ‘skadoodle’ Latham when he found himself staring down the barrel of a difficult 1v3 clutch.

With his enemies closing in on him, shroud seemed resigned to his fate as he tried to get a quick shield battery boost off but dropped back behind Gibraltar’s shield inside of standing inside – putting distance between himself and his enemies.

Upon realizing what he had done, the trio began pushing him in one-on-one fights, with shroud being able to take down the first two with a few shotgun shells, before falling behind the shield once again to create some space.

With the clutch looking more likely by the second, shroud even took time to change his weapon during the frantic action to finish off the third player with one quick tap of the Longbow. 

“That dome was perfect! Oh my god,” he called out amid his post-game celebrations. “That’s got to be demoralizing to lose to a Gibraltar one vs three – they were all in my face too!”

Gibraltar is generally an underappreciated Legend, due to his lack of mobility compared the characters like Pathfinder or Wraith. But, due to his larger size, Gibraltar actually has a slight damage reduction, meaning he can take extra hits before being put down.

The incredible highlight clip might just serve as a warning though to any Apex player who thinks they can take down a ‘weaker’ character – you just never know who is on the sticks and controlling them.
