Apex Legends Season 17 is now fast approaching. Here’s everything you need to know about the end date for Season 16, and the Apex Season 17 release date.
Apex Legends Season 16 dropped on Valentine’s Day 2023, bringing a huge number of changes to Respawn’s battle royale. It overhauled Legend classification, bringing five new character categories and perks, as well as a much-requested Team Deathmatch mode.
We even saw Apex Legends hit an all-time high in terms of concurrent players, suggesting the new content has gone down incredibly well with its player base.
But when does Season 16 end, and Season 17 of Apex Legends begin?
When is Apex Legends Season 17?
Apex Legends Season 17 will start on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. This is just under three months after the release of Season 16, which began on February 14, 2023.

Apex Legends Season 17 content: New Legend
Respawn has now confirmed a number of updates that are confirmed for Season 17 of Apex Legends.
There will be a new Legend, called Ballistic, as well as:
- World’s Edge map update
- Ranked updates
- Weapon Mastery system
- Firing Range overhaul
As always, you can expect a battle pass too, with new cosmetics. There won’t be a new map this season, or new weapon, judging by what Respawn has revealed so far.
We also expect the typical series of weapon and Legend buffs and nerfs, again to shake up Season 16’s prevailing meta.
That’s all we know at this point, but we will keep this page refreshed as new information emerges.
