Apex Legends players love the 9v9 chaos of the Control LTM but when will the fan-favorite mode be returning to the Outlands?
Apex Legends is most well-known for its battle royale formula where 60 players dive down onto a map in squads and eliminate each other until only one team remains.
While this will always be the most popular way to play Apex, Respawn does like to add limited-time modes during events to keep things fresh for the community.
Whether it’s Winter Express, Shadow Royale, or Flashpoint, the devs have got extremely creative with their LTMs, but none have been more positively received than the 9v9 Control.
As a result, a lot of players are keen to see Control return as soon as possible, but when will it next become available in the rotation?
When will Control return to Apex Legends?
Control will be making a return to Apex Legends on January 10 for the Spellbound Collection Event. Alongside the action-packed LTM, the patch will introduce Seer’s Heirloom, fresh cosmetics, and private matches.

In terms of maps, you’ll be able to play the Control on Storm Point’s Barometer, World’s Edge’s Lava Siphon, and Olympus’ Hammond Labs.
It’s worth keeping in mind that as Control is an LTM, it will be disappearing once again on January 24. So, make sure you’re ready for the event to kick off so you can make the most of the two weeks that the fan-favorite mode is live.
Although the community has called on Respawn to make Control permanent, it seems unlikely that they will opt to do so, as taking it away generates a lot of excitement for its return.
Either way, with Control set to make another appearance in the Spellbound Collection Event, it’s guaranteed to get a lot of players online and competing in the fast-paced game mode.
