A screenshot from one BG3 player’s Dark Urge run showcases what someone has described as a “sleepover” with corpses.
Every Baldur’s Gate 3 player begins their run with a blank slate for a character, someone the user can mold throughout the game to their liking. However, those who opt for a Dark Urge playthrough wind up with a character who has a predetermined story and dark tendencies.
Setting aside the penchant for killing, playing with a Dark Urge protagonist boasts several benefits. There’s a new character to meet, additional voice lines, and companion interactions that are otherwise impossible to experience.
Some people may lean a little too hard into the Dark Urge, though, so much so that they find themselves surrounded by a sea of dead bodies.
BG3 player shares shocking Dark Urge screenshot
A Redditor named Otter-Insanity recently posted a “group picture” of the characters they met while playing Dark Urge. Upon closer inspection, however, viewers will notice that the picture in question depicts hundreds of corpses lying on a floor.
Part of the poster’s caption reveals the following, “I couldn’t get everyone in frame, but there are over 700 people in these pics.” Evidently, someone had no problem succumbing to the Dark Urge.

Of course, people in the comments are having a field day with the morbid imagery. One person responded with a sleepover joke, writing, “Oh that’s cute, you’re all having a sleepover!”
Others chose to play a game of ‘Where’s Waldo,’ though few were happy with what they found. Someone who spotted fan-favorite character Lae’zel commented, “Is that … Is that Lae’zel at the bottom?! YOU MONSTER!” The original poster defended themselves by saying she tried to kill them first.
In response to another question, the BG3 player explained how they managed to gather all of their Dark Urge victims in one place. “After every battle, I’d have to make multiple trips back to camp to store them all,” they divulged.
The user added that a weight mod proved especially helpful in this regard. It seems building a house of corpses isn’t exactly an easy feat.
