Baldur’s Gate 3 fans are divided over the decision to earn one of the rarest achievements in the game by romancing the Emperor.
There are multiple layers to Baldur’s Gate, with different twists and turns throughout the storyline. All of which can be carefully curated by the player through their choices and actions.
Romancing different, or multiple, characters in Baldur’s Gate has been a hot topic since the game’s release in August. Players have debated who the best characters are to romance and which have the best stories to tell.
However, one romanceable character is the most controversial among players, with only 4.4% of the player base opting to do so.

“Was this a prudish choice,” asked the poster. “I’m too slutty to understand.”
While the other romanceable characters see a lot of love from players throughout the game, the Mind Flayers are the most controversial.
Some players beneath the post say they did it only for the achievement, while others say they did it for the experience.
Although the idea of sleeping with a purple-tentacle being was revolting to some of the replies, the idea of sleeping with their Guardian’s form instead was a bit more tantalizing. Which the game presents as yet another option for players to tell their own stories.
