Baldur’s Gate 3 players have uncovered some surprisingly aggressive dialogue for the Cleric class, with some of the options bordering on downright abusive.
You’d expect clerics to be some of the nicest people out of all the classes in Baldur’s Gate 3. They’re the go-to healer/support class, and even if you’re someone like Shadowheart, there’s still plenty of kindness and goodwill associated with your role. How mean can you be if you’re casting Healing Word at every opportunity?
However, not all clerics are born equal. Depending on the deity you follow, the character and personality of your Tav can be wildly different, especially if you stray away from some of the nice gods.
And one god in particular locks cleric players into one of the rudest dialogue options in the game: Talos, god of chaos, destruction and nature.
Baldur’s Gate 3 players shocked by rude cleric dialogue
One player posted the dialogue option, which becomes available if you find Arabella’s parents in Act 2, asking: “The only option’s being a d*ck just by choosing a Storm God?”

In line with Talos’s uncaring nature, this cleric dialogue won’t pull any punches- and to make matters worse, there aren’t any other options to let Arabella know what happened. You have to pick the worst one to progress her story.
The dialogue reads: “Oh, they’re very dead. But don’t worry- being an orphan makes you much more interesting.”
It’s a line that wouldn’t be out of place coming from a Githyanki, but it’s very much in line with the character of Talos and his position as a god of chaos. Still, Arabella probably doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.
