The Baldur’s Gate 3 community is concerned about an upcoming hotfix that they don’t feel is going to address enough issues related to Minthara.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 devs are promising that an upcoming hotfix is going to address the known bug that causes Minthara to stop following the player’s group.
While this bug has been around for a while, the community has more issues with Minthara that they feel should be prioritized.
Now fans are voicing their concerns on social media, saying they hope there’s more to this hotfix than has been mentioned, so far.
Baldur’s Gate 3 fans fear hotfix won’t do enough for Minthara
The concerns are being voiced on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, where a player posted about the Hotfix coming this week.
In the details for the Hotfix, the devs mention that it is aiming to make it so that Minthara will stay with the group in Acts 2 and 3.
While this error is worth addressing, the Baldur’s Gate 3 community feels there are far more pressing issues related to Minthara, specifically a bug that causes Minthara to speak the wrong dialogue at certain times.

“The follow bug is annoying yes, but the dialogue bug seems to affect everyone. And since she doesn’t have a companion quest, her commentary is the main reason to recruit her if you don’t romance her,” writes one Redditor.
Another user says recently started a new playthrough to get more of the dialogue they are referencing, and is hopeful she will be fixed by then.
In general, many Baldur’s Gate 3 fans think the update is redundant if it doesn’t focus on the most common bug impacting Minthara.
There is also a good handful of users who mention even more Minthara-related bugs that need attention.
It seems Minthara is quite a buggy character, and while the devs are making progress, there is still plenty the fanbase wants to see change.
