A Baldur’s Gate 3 player channeled their inner Star Wars fan to create the perfect Dark Urge character based on the iconic space opera.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s in-depth character creator and customization systems make bringing one’s fantasy characters to life incredibly easy.
With plenty of options to choose from, players can build fresh characters to their liking or even create protagonists based on pre-existing characters.
That’s exactly what one Star Wars fan did after they crafted a Dark Urge character based on the epic space opera’s most iconic tragic hero.
Baldur’s Gate 3 player recreates Star Wars character as Dark Urge
A player on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit shared a post titled, “Meet my NEW Durge, also keep him away from any children or sand…”
If the post’s title didn’t give it away, the screenshots of the character creator solidify that the fan chose to recreate Anakin Skywalker as the Dark Urge in Larian Studio’s CRPG.
The OP chose to make them a Human Paladin in their campaign. While some may say a Monk may be more fitting for the Jedi, a Paladin is a good choice as well.

On top of their recreated Anakin, the player also based their Guardian on Anakin’s later appearance as Darth Vader—complete with ghostly pale skin and burn scars.
Members of the community seemed to appreciate the recreation, with many making jokes about the Dark Urge character.
“Make sure to always have the high ground though,” said one player, while another joked, “I fear for the younglings in the githyanki crèche.”
One fan suggested they should have based the Guardian on Obi-Wan Kenobi instead of Vader, given the former was Anakin’s mentor. However, the OP responded to the comment and said, “Nah… Obi-Wan is going to be Player 2 with a Qui-Gon guardian.”
While it can certainly be fun to create BG3 characters from scratch, sometimes basing them off pre-existing characters can be just as enjoyable.
