Eddie Hearn has pleaded with Tyson Fury to beat Oleksandr Usyk to set up “the biggest fight in the history of the sport” against Anthony Joshua after his knockout win over Francis Ngannou.
Joshua made light work of Ngannou after he knocked him down in the first round, before delivering the final knockout blow in the second.
Ngannou was out cold on the canvas for some time after he was caught by a devastating right hand that took the 37-year-old’s legs from underneath him.

Fury, who was watching on ringside, could not help but stand and applaud after the display. And AJ’s promoter, Hearn, soon turned his attention to the Gypsy King.
“There is a brilliant fighter down there called Tyson fury,” Hearn said after the bout.
“Please, please beat Oleksandr Usyk on May 18. I promise you this, you will get the biggest fight in the history of the sport when Anthony Joshua takes the undisputed world championship.”

“That was one of the most destructive knockouts I’ve ever seen,” he added.
“People talk about how Tyson Fury did against Ngannou, forget about that. What I said would happen, happened. He went in there, he destroyed Francis Ngannou.
“This man is a savage, a beast the best heavyweight in the world. I cannot wait for him to beat Tyson fury.”
Fury himself is recovering from a freak sparring injury that left him with a cut eye needing 11 stitches.
The 35-year-old did however provide a positive update ahead of his bout with Usyk, as fans slowly start to dream of what a fight between Fury and Joshua might look like.
