Jake Paul has finally clashed with Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat after he flew to Puerto Rico ahead of Jake’s match-up with Ryan Bourland, and the two of them are still eager to fight.
When Jake Paul first stepped into the world of professional boxing, he was all about crossover fights. His first pro fight was against another influencer, AnEsonGib, before moving on to fight the likes of Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Nate Diaz.
Since losing to Tommy Fury in February, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has since moved on to fighting ‘real’ boxers, defeating Andre August in December. Even though he returns to the ring on March 2 to fight Ryan Bourland, Jake has been engaged in a war of words with Neeraj Goyat.
The Indian boxer is a bit of a journeyman heavyweight, winning 18 of his 24 professional fights, but has held several regional titles, including being WBC Asian champion. Jake stated that, at some point in the future, he would travel to India to fight him, but Neeraj has actually jetted into Puerto Rico.

That’s right, after calling out Jake for not traveling to his home country, the Indian boxer has fulfilled his promise of confronting him in Puerto Rico ahead of his return to the ring.

Naturally, the pair ended up coming face-to-face outside Jake’s training camp, exchanging a few more words. “I’m a man of my word, I’m here, I’m in your country,” Goyat said, questioning Jake for using translation services to trash talk in Punjab.
“I respect you for showing up man to man, but you don’t want to fight, you don’t want to fight,” Jake said before the pair had to be separated.
The pair have both said that a fight is something they’d consider, but Jake’s fight with Bourland means that it something would have to wait.
It remains to be seen if it’ll happen after that fight on March 2, but it is clearly something that is drawing attention.
