It’s beginning to look even more likely that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be announced soon after rumors, so here are five things that we’d like to see added to the game in before its launch.
CoD 2019: Expected to be Modern Warfare 4
Players have been waiting for the return of the fan-favorite Modern Warfare series, and rumors circulating of Modern Warfare 4 being the next installment of Call of Duty might just be true.
Fans of the franchise are already starting to speculate what the next title might feature, so we’ve put together some of the best suggestions that could make for a great Call of Duty game.
5 things we want to see in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Campaign Mode
It has almost been seven years since the last Modern Warfare game was released, and Call of Duty campaigns have been lacking ever since, with Treyarch even deciding to remove mode completely, supplanting it with a battle royale mode, Blackout.
Fans of the Modern Warfare series will be hoping that a campaign in the rumored MW4 will include some kind of continuation from Modern Warfare 3’s intense ending.
Remastered maps
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series is known for a collection of some of the most iconic maps in CoD history, including classics such as Rust, Terminal, Crash and Dome.
It would only make sense to see some of these maps return for Modern Warfare 4, whether they’re available at launch or as part of a DLC pack.
Faceoff Modes
Modern Warfare 3 nailed the Faceoff mode playlist with exclusive playable maps designed for 2v2 and 3v3 gameplay.

Traditionally the smaller Call of Duty maps often become the fan-favorites, and following on from the first point, if maps like Rust were to be remastered they would be a perfect addition to the playlist. Infinity Ward could potentially even add 1v1 matches to Faceoff, adding another layer to public match gameplay.
Classic Call of Duty Weapons
As well as maps, the Modern Warfare series has produced some of the best Call of Duty guns of all time too, from snipers such as the M40A3 or Intervention, to other classics such as the M16, ACR and the UMP-45.
It wouldn’t be right to have another addition to the Modern Warfare series while missing all of these iconic weapons – so surely some of them will make a comeback?
Special Ops/Time Trials
The special ops mode was originally inspired from the “All Ghillied Up” mission in the MW2 campaign, after Infinity Ward wanted to implement co-op in to the campaign. However, they decided against it and thus created an entirely new game mode with fast paced missions that could be played with a duo.
It quickly became quite popular, with players trying to complete the missions in the fastest time possible.
Some other honorable mentions that could be included in the list could be the addition of another battle royale mode, in-game character customization and potentially bringing back the Nuke or ‘MOAB’ killstreak for MW4.
However, we will have to wait and see what Infinity Ward have in store for next year’s Call of Duty, and if it will live up to the hype.
