Reigning world champion, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price, believes the current movement speed in Black Ops 4 is too fast.
The captain of Team Envy took to Twitter to share his thoughts that the overall speed of the game is currently too fast for the increased number of players on the map in competitive play, which increased from 8 to 10 this year.
He stated his belief that the current speed feels too “cluttery and fast” and that it should be decreased by at least 10%, if not more, to make the playing and viewing experience better.
This feeling that the game is too fast could come down to each team having an extra player, as the size of the maps haven’t changed from previous games.
For 5v5 and the size of the maps i really think they should tune overall movement speed by atleast 10%. It just feels so cluttery and fast. Just my opinion tho, think it would make it a lot more pleasant to play and watch.

100 Thieves’ Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat agreed with ACHES, saying he feels players are able to move across the map too quickly at the moment.
I agree with this. You make it around maps way too fast

With Black Ops 4 being the first game to feature the new 5v5 format, but also including some throwback maps like Firing Range and Slums, it was always likely that players would have feedback, especially those who competed on the original maps on Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2.
ACHES and Team Envy coach Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevil noted that getting across both Summit and Slums is significantly quicker in Black Ops 4 than on the original versions of each map.
when i play the throwback maps i’m mindblown. I’m top control on summit in SECONDS. That shit was a sprint back in the day

The timing that trips me out is on slums snd at blue street lmao you can get front blue on offense when they get into blue on defense

As the game was only released on October 12 and players continue to share their thoughts on what does and doesn’t work, changes could still be made to Black Ops 4 before CWL Las Vegas, the first tournament of the season, which kicks off December 7.
Could we see movement speed decreased before this?
