Optimizing your Mouse and Keyboard settings in Black Ops 6 is essential to dominate and win as many games as possible while also racking up both score and kills with ease.
Settings play a crucial role in streamlining your experience. This is especially true for MnK players, who have a huge variety of options they can customize. Getting this just right, in addition to using the best PC Settings and best Audio Settings, is a must if you want to dominate in this year’s Call of Duty.
To help you out, here are the Mouse and Keyboard settings that you’ll want to use in BO6 to be as successful as possible, including keybinds and movement settings.
Best MnK settings in BO6
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Aiming Input Device | Mouse |
Mouse Sensitivity | Varies based on DPI* |
ADS Sens. Multiplier (Focus) | 1.00 |
Look Inversion (On Foot) | Standard |
Simplified Controls Preset | Off |
Low Motor Strain Preset | Off |
*Multiply your mouse’s DPI x Mouse Sensitivity, and aim for a total between 2,000 and 6,000 eDPI. Tweak your eDPI within this range until you are happy with how it feels. A lower eDPI will make tracking easier but flicking harder, while a higher eDPI will favor flick shots over tracking.
If you are unsure of your mouse’s DPI, this can be checked and adjusted using the appropriate software for your mouse. Some popular examples include Logitech G Hub, Razer Synapse, Turtle Beach Swarm II, Corsair iCUE, and SteelSeries Engine. All of these can be downloaded and installed through each brand’s official website.
Mouse Advanced Settings
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Custom Sensitivity Per Zoom | Off |
ADS Sensitivity Transition Timing | Instant |
ADS Sensitivity Type | Legacy |
Look Inversion | Preference |
3rd Person ADS Correction Type | Precision |
Monitor Distance Coefficient | Preference |
Mouse Calibration | Mouse Acceleration: 0.00Mouse Filtering: 0Mouse Smoothing: OffMouse Wheel Delay: 200 |
Use System Mouse Cursor | Preference |
Constrain Mouse to Game Window | Preference |
The main setting to double-check here is Mouse Calibration, as features like mouse acceleration, mouse filtering, and mouse smoothing are all terrible for your aim. These can badly mess with your muscle memory, making it much harder to get comfortable with your chosen sensitivity. To be blunt, relying on these will make you a worse player.
Best Movement settings
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Sprint Assist | Off |
Mantle Assist | Off |
Crouch Assist | Off |
Corner Slice | Off |
Crouch Behavior | Toggle |
Prone Behavior | Toggle |
Sprint/Tactical Sprint Behavior | Toggle |
Automatic Airborne Mantle | Off |
Parachute Automatic Behavior | Off |
Sprint Restore | Off |
Slide Maintains Sprint | On |
Mantle Cancels Reload | On |
Black Ops 6 features a range of movement options that were clearly designed with a controller in mind. These can be very useful on a controller but don’t complement mouse and keyboard overly well, so it’s best to disable them. The main ones you’ll want to turn off are Sprint Assist, Mantle Assist, Crouch Assist, and Sprint Restore.
Movement Advanced Settings
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Walk Behavior | Toggle |
Walk Speed | Moderate |
Grounded Mantle | On |
Slide/Dive Activation | Independent |
Slide/Dive Behavior | Standard |
Tactical Sprint Activation | Double Tap |
Plunging Underwater | Free |
Sprinting Door Bash | On |
Auto Door Peek | On |
Change Camera Slide Activation | Sprint/Tactical Sprint/Focus |
Look Keys Sensitivity Horizonal | 1.00 |
Look Keys Sensitivity Vertical | 1.00 |
The Movement Advanced Settings aren’t as important as some others, but there are still a few options that can elevate your gameplay. Simple changes like enabling Plunging Underwater and Sprinting Door Bash make playing aggressively more fluid, which is important given how fast-paced this year’s Call of Duty is.

We also recommend changing Slide/Dive Activation to independent to give you more control. With this setting, you will never dive when you mean to slide or slide when you mean to dive. Having both of these actions on the same input is useful on a controller, but is completely unnecessary when you have over 100 keys to use for binds!
Best Combat settings
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Aim Down Sight Behavior | Hold |
Interact Behavior | Press |
Dedicated Melee Weapon Activation | Weapon Cycle |
Body Shield/Finishing Move Behavior | Prioritize Finishing Move |
Equipment Behavior | Hold |
Weapon Mount Activation | Weapon Mount (Toggle) |
These are all standard settings that shouldn’t require too much tweaking. However, you will need to set a dedicated keybind for mounting if you use the Weapon Mount (Toggle) option. This is preferred over the other options, as it gives more control and minimizes the risk of you mounting when you didn’t mean to.
Combat Advanced Settings
OPTION | BEST SETTING |
---|---|
Change Zoom Activation | Melee |
Weapon Mount Exit | Instant |
Interact/Reload Behavior | Tap to Reload |
Focus Behavior | Toggle |
Sprint Cancels Reload | On |
Depleted Ammo Weapon Switch | On |
Armor Plate Behavior | Apply One |
C4 Detonation Activation | One by One |
Manual Fire Behavior | Press |
Akimbo Behavior | Paired |
There are some niche but important settings here. The biggest one is Sprint Cancels Reload, which gives you a quick way to cancel reload animations in a pinch. Without this, your only other alternative is switching guns, which takes far longer and will leave you vulnerable.
Equally, you’ll want to set Armor Plate Behavior to Apply One for Zombies and game modes like Kill Order where armor is a factor. Last but not least, setting Akimbo Behavior to paired allows you to fire both guns with a single left click. This not only makes them more consistent, but also feels more natural.
Best Keybinds
The best Keybinds to use are highly personal and will differ greatly from player to player. In saying that, there are some small adjustments that you can make that help a lot.
Most of the time, you are best off using whatever you find most comfortable, but these optimized settings are a great option for those looking to be as competitive as possible:
