Call of Duty content creator Espresso sat down with Dexerto and explained why long-time fans of the series should be especially excited about Black Ops 6.
Ahead of the open beta, Espresso reacted to what the sixth entry in the legendary Black Ops series has to offer. Before you jump in for the first time yourself, we spoke to some of the experts to give you the low-down on both new and returning features.
From Omnimovement to the traditional prestige system, the content creator highlighted his favorite parts of BO6, and what makes it worthy of the Black Ops name.

What makes Call of Duty special?
“It’s a game for basically anybody,” Espresso said. “You have your single player enthusiast, your Michael Bay storytelling, but then you also got the grind each year for various challenges, modes, weapons in multiplayer.”
What were your first impressions of the BO6 gameplay?
“It feels like they are taking the best of what has worked in the past for prior Black Ops games, and then mixing it with some new stuff. While putting it all into one title, I love that.”

“It felt like a return to Black Ops,” Espresso told us. “From the gameplay innovations that they showcased, but also the return of the classic systems like traditional prestige and theater mode.”
What are your thoughts on the new movement system?
“It felt like one of those things you didn’t really realize you needed until it was there. This might be the most in-depth and advanced movement that we’ve had since Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare.”
Black Ops 6’s headline feature for many is the “Omnimovement”, allowing players to run, jump, dive, go prone, and just about anything else you can think of, all while aiming across a full 360 degrees.
The Black Ops series has innovated CoD movement before – think back to the original “dolphin dive” in the original game – but this year’s entry takes it to a whole new level.
Stay tuned for our next expert insight, as we had a chance to talk with Swagg, who shared his own thoughts and first impressions too.
