Call of Duty have launched a new marketing campaign for the upcoming Black Ops 4, kicking it off with a brilliant Post Malone inspired meme.
Call of Duty’s marketing machine has been an integral part of the franchise’s success, ruling the console gaming world for over a decade.
With Black Ops 4 coming – the fourth instalment of the most successful sub-franchise of CoD – they have launched a new content focused campaign, encouraging content creators to submit their best/funniest moments.
It is a smart move from Activision, as focusing on organic content production from places like YouTube and Twitch has undoubtedly been a key role in the success of other popular games – namely Fortnite.

With the new Blackout mode coming this year, CoD’s first foray into the battle royale genre, there will be a renewed focus on Call of Duty content from streamers and YouTubers.
The official Call of Duty twitter account kicked off the campaign with this hilarious rendition of Post Malone’s hit single ‘Rockstar’, featuring the man himself.

You can submit your own videos by posting them to Twitter and using the hashtag #CODNation – which also comes with a Black Ops 4 logo Twitter emote.
