A renowned Call of Duty leaker has given a final release date for upcoming Modern Warfare battle royale Warzone – and it’s much sooner than you might expect.
Warzone has been hotly anticipated since the rumors started to flow out of the Infinity Ward and Activision camps, with the success of Black Ops 4’s Blackout setting a benchmark for what players expect from a CoD battle royale title.
Though there has been no official word or announcement yet from Infinity Ward, Warzone has been a topic of conversation for weeks leading up to the expected release date, and it seems like they may no longer be rumors very soon.
In a video posted on February 26, renowned leaker TheGamingRevolution shared a first look at the Warzone trailer and spoke a little on it, as well as certain areas of the map, before explaining when he believes the game to be coming out.
“A lot of people have been speculating about the release date of Warzone,” he said. “I’ve been hearing that it is still indeed March 10. A lot of people have been speculating that it’s the 3rd. This is what I’ve been hearing from a lot of people from the influencer events, and that’s the date they were told.”
Of course, early March is the expected date regardless, and there have also been rumors that while March 10 is the release date of the game as a standalone title, Modern Warfare players might be granted early access from March 3 – one week earlier.

With Infinity Ward not saying anything about the game mode publicly at all yet, it’s impossible to know exactly what to expect and when we might get our hands on it.
TGR has a fairly good track record with Call of Duty leaks, so he likely isn’t far off if he’s incorrect, which means the game could be released as little as 11 days following the time of writing.
Many content creators took to Los Angeles in mid-February under top secret business, but many fans believe it to be early access games of Warzone, testing out the battle royale and looking to kick off the release with a bang. Only time will tell – but we may not have to wait much longer.
