Prominent Call of Duty leaker ‘TheGamingRevolution’ has shed some light on when fans can expect teasers for CoD: Vietnam to drop, even claiming that Warzone players might see some in-game.
While Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare and Warzone have each been incredibly successful Call of Duty titles, all eyes are looking forward to the next iteration in the franchise.
Tipped to be set in the Cold War era, the next Call of Duty is going to reportedly revolve predominantly around the events from the Vietnam War, and thus will be allegedly titled ‘CoD: Vietnam.’
While the vast majority of information relating to the next Call of Duty has come from leaks and ‘insider reports,’ all signs are pointing towards a prequel of some kind that diverges away from the Black Ops universe.
Yet fans have been left in the dark when it comes to all of this information being officially released — that is, up until now. Alongside fellow Call of Duty YouTuber ‘dkdynamite,’ TheGamingRevolution has revealed when teasers for the Vietnam-themed title is set to drop.
According to their sources, the reveal was initially set for April, but has since been pushed back to May 2020, in light of the current global situation.

To top things off, TGR theorized that Warzone players can expect to see some teasers in-game within due course, given the popularity and mass appeal that Infinity Ward’s battle royale has.
Their claims on teaser dates also lineup with a cryptic Tweet that was posted by another prominent leaker ‘LongSensation’ in March, which simply stated “May. 2020.” alongside a GIF of soldiers grounding from choppers on a battlefield.

That’s not all. The pair also claimed that Sledgehammer Games may well be taking the reins on the multiplayer of Call of Duty: 2020, while Treyarch are supposedly chipping away at the campaign and still steering the ship on the project’s development overall.
So despite Treyarch reportedly being at the forefront of its development, its possible that the Vietnam-themed CoD will in fact be credited to SHG.
Of course, everything obtained from the aforementioned leakers is all up for speculation and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Saying that, however, both TGR and LongSensation have a reliable record for accurate leaks. But for now, only time will tell whether these claims hold any substance.
