Activision has teased the arrival of an iconic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map in CoD Mobile, as they look to give fans the perfect arena to settle their beef.

CoD Mobile dropped back in October, giving fans of the iconic franchise a chance to test their skills on a different platform. Though, the game is pretty unique to those that have come before it – as it allows players to do battle on a selection of maps from a collection of different CoD titles.

Some fans might not have instantly recognized what the cryptic post was getting at, considering there isn’t exactly a map giving it away, but plenty of others realized what it was pretty quickly – a teaser for the arrival of Rust in CoD Mobile.

Of course, since being introduced back in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Rust has become synonymous with CoD fans who want to settle a beef or just own an opposing player with their gun skill.

Though, the map has gone through a few changes since it was first played all the way back in 2009. It was adapted in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to make the map ‘Excess’, before receiving a few tweaks when introduced in CoD: Modern Warfare Season Two.

Seeing as CoD Mobile has used maps in their original form, it seems pretty likely that the Modern Warfare 2 version will be the one that is added.

When that will be, however, is a different question altogether, but it shouldn’t be too far away considering the new tease.
