A Reddit user has posted a fully labelled Blackout map, with locations and descriptions everything you need to know about vehicles and stash spawns, best looting areas, mystery boxes and more.
Blackout was a hit during its beta week, with players around the world reacting generally very positively to the CoD series’ first foray into battle royale.
When the PC beta went live on Friday September 14, streamers like Ninja, Shroud, Lirik, Dr DisRespect and more helped the game peak at almost 600,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, which was more than double what the multiplayer beta managed to attract.
Because it is battle royale, there is more to the map than any other in Call of Duty history, which will come with time when the full game is launched and players can really get their teeth into it.
But to give yourself the upper hand on October 12, Reddit user u/sergii17 has made a very helpful map guide, with literally everything notable pointed out.
Most useful will be the mystery box and stash spawns, were you will hopefully find special gear – but these are not consistent from game to game.

Legend:
- Small loot area
- 3-4 buildings
- 5+ buildings
- Possible mystery box spawn
- Helicopter spawn
- Underground area
It should be noted, that this map is only accurate at the time of the beta end, on September 17. When the full game releases, there is a chance that some of these areas have been changed, and spawn points adjusted.
Further, Treyarch has strongly hinted at map additions in the future, perhaps with inspiration drawn from other classic Call of Duty maps. Some fans have suggested the map ‘Hijack’ from Black Ops 2 could be added somewhere in the sea area of the map.
Treyarch has promised the Blackout mode will be supported heavily post launch with updates and fixes, so it is very likely new points of interest will be added.
But, for initial launch on October 12, this map should be the perfect companion for when you infiltrate the Blackout map for the first time.
