Twitch star Dr Disrespect has hit out at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s audio issues, labeling it as perhaps the worst it’s ever been.
The highly-anticipated Modern Warfare title released on October 25 to plenty of celebration, but players like the Doc haven’t been silent in their criticism – ramping it up, despite Infinity Ward dropping a number of updates.
We’ve seen complaints about the maps, skill-based match-making, and the mini-map from casual and professional players alike, with a new issue seemingly rearing its head on a bi-daily basis.
Now, it seems as if the audio is the next thing to come under fire, with Dr Disrespect considering putting it in historically bad company.
During his November 14 stream, the Two-Time had been continuing his journey through Modern Warfare’s multiplayer when he seemingly ran into a few problems after being bombarded with killstreaks and shots from enemies.
“I might go on the record and just kind of say that the audio in this Call of Duty could go down as the worst to date,” he said, before being gunned down again. “Just from a gameplay perspective, but who am I right? Just a two-time champion.”

Now, of course, The Doc isn’t the only one to have complaints about the audio as many players have taken issue with how loud some of the announcer call-outs and killstreaks have been.
One of the earlier audio complaints stemmed from the noise of footsteps and use of Dead Silence after it didn’t seem to work as intended. Infinity Ward have since put out two updates addressing that, but it appears as if they still have some way to go.
As for the other sounds, it remains to be seen if the developers have anything up their sleeve for the near future, or if it’ll be a case of tweaking in-game settings to strike a balance.
For now, though, players like Dr Disrespect will have to deal with that deafening sound of a VTOL Jet which is wreaking havoc.
