Apart from gunskill, one of the most important skills players need to master in order to succeed in any Call of Duty title is movement, and Black Ops 4 is no exception.
Skilled movement can often be the difference between life and death in Black Ops 4, and it allows players to win gunfights against enemy players that may have equal or better gunskill.
One of the important aspects of movement is strafing while aiming down sights (ADS). Players who can strafe well without compromising their aim have an instant advantage because they become a harder target to hit against enemy players who may be shooting back from a standstill position.
One good way to further take advantage of strafing is by doing it faster, which can be accomplished by simply spamming the ADS button while strafing instead of holding it down continuously.
A good demonstration of this can be seen in the video published by ‘Flatpacked,’ which shows how much faster one can strafe by taking advantage of this method.

The reason why this method is so effective is that it expands upon the advantages that strafing provides without compromising the ability to shoot at any instant.
This means that players become a lot more difficult to shoot at, all while the strafing player still has nearly the same level of shooting ability as if they were holding down the ADS button.
Additionally, this method also allows players to peak lanes and gather information without risking their life, especially since the time to kill in BO4 is longer than usual and the opponent simply will not get the chance to go for the kill unless they are sniping.
This method is especially viable when using weapons that do not have a Stock I and II attachment and have Quickdraw I and II instead. The Quickdraw allows for the spamming of the ADS to be done faster, all while the effect of the mechanic increases the strafe speed by default.
The reason why this mechanic works the way it does is because aiming naturally causes strafing to slow down. By spamming the ADS button, the small instances between each click returns the strafe speed back to normal, and all that, added up, results in a noticeable difference.
