Elevate Drops Mochila, Blfire and Nagafen in Roster Shakeup Before Champs

Call of Duty Organization Elevate has announced a series of roster changes leading up to the LCQ and Call of Duty Championship.

Jared ‘Nagafen’ Harrell, Steve ‘Mochila’ Canle and Mikhail ‘Blfire’ Glushenok have been released from Elevate. Michael ‘SpaceLy’ Schmale remains on the team and the players joining him will be announced on July 16.

Elevate’s new roster may have leaked before the announcement, SpaceLy was spotted in the 2K tournament playing with MajorManiak, Chance ‘Maux’ Moncivaez and Nicholas ‘Proto’ Maldonado.

Nagafen and Blfire will stick together and team up with Aiden ‘GorgoKnight’ Provenzano and KiSMET. The team is still looking for an organization to represent them.

Mochila may have been aware of the move for some time now, since he was already trying to recruit Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow for a Champs run.

Elevate returned to the Call of Duty scene in June after more than a year long hiatus. SpaceLy, Nagafen, Blfire and Mochila placed t24 at CWL Anaheim, the only LAN event Elevate has participated in since their return.

The organization started during Call of Duty: Ghosts, but saw its first success during the Advanced Warfare season with a 3rd place finish in the MLG 2015 World finals

Elevate had its best run during Black Ops 3, with a 2nd place finish in Anaheim 2016, as well as 3rd placements in Orlando and the 2016 Call of Duty Championship. They sat out the following season after their BO3 roster was picked up by Rise Nation, though they fielded a European squad called ElevateEU throughout Infinite Warfare.

SpaceLy and crew will not have an automatic bid into CoD Champs and will be playing in the Last Chance Qualifier on July 24 and 25.
