Multiplayer and camo challenges in Black Ops 6 don’t come with descriptions, making it difficult to know exactly what you need to do for each of them.
Black Ops 6 no longer has a weekly challenge system like Modern Warfare 3, where players unlocked Aftermarket Parts and camos by completing missions. In its absence, the lengthy camo grind returns in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, giving players more than enough to do.
Community members have praised Black Ops 6 for having the “best ever” camo system, but it’s difficult to know how to complete some of the requirements. To help you out, we’ve listed every multiplayer challenge and broken down what each of them requires.
All multiplayer challenges in BO6
- Point Blank Kills
- Penetration Kills
- Critical Kills
- Clean Kills
- Hipfire Kills
- Direct Hit Kills
- Double Kills
- Rapid Kills

Check out the section below to learn more about these challenges, including the specifics on what each of them requires and tips on how to complete them more easily.
What are Point Blank Kills?
A Point Blank Kill is any elimination that occurs within a maximum distance of five meters.
The best way to get these is to play Face Off game modes and use a shotgun. This is especially effective on tiny maps like Stakeout and Warhead, where you can rack up Point Blank Kills with ease.
What are Penetration Kills?
A Penetration KIll is any elimination where an enemy player is shot through a wall or cover.
These can be tricky to get, but you can speed up the process by playing Nuketown, as this map has paper-thin walls that any gun can shoot through. We recommend pinging players standing in doorways and windows and then trying to finish them off when they retreat to cover.
What are Critical Kills?
A Critical Kill is any elimination where the final shot hits the enemy’s head. Essentially, this is just another name for a headshot.
For the most part, you can get these by simply aiming higher. However, playing Hardcore can help too, as headshots are almost always an insta-kill in these modes, making them easier to get.
What are Clean Kills?
A Clean Kill is any elimination where the opposing player doesn’t deal any damage back to you.
These are very easy to get, and you’ll earn plenty by just playing normally. However, using a one-shot weapon like a sniper rifle can be useful, as enemies will have practically no time to react.
What are Hipfire Kills?
A Hipfire Kill is any elimination where you do not aim down sights and deal damage using exclusively hipfire.

You’ll want to use either SMGs or shotguns to earn these more easily, as these have the tightest hipfire spread of any weapon type. Also, be sure to equip the Steady Aim Laser to improve hipfire accuracy.
What are Direct Hit Kills?
A Direct Hit Kill is any elimination where you kill an enemy player with a direct hit using an explosive weapon, such as a launcher.
The launchers in Black Ops 6 have a low velocity, so this can be trickier than you may think, especially with Omnimovement giving players the tools to dodge and evade. Your best bet is trying to catch enemies off guard or running into them and firing before they can react.
What are Double Kills?
A Double Kill is any elimination that you get within three seconds of a kill. Essentially, you just need to get a kill and then get another one shortly after using the same weapon.
To speed up the process, consider playing fast-paced modes like Face Off and Nuketown 24/7. The other team is more likely to be grouped up in these modes, making it easier to chain kills together.
What are Rapid Kills?
A Rapid Kill is any elimination that follows another kill within three seconds. This is similar to a Double Kill, but this challenge stacks, meaning you can get several Rapid Kills in the same play.
For example, if you got four kills in quick succession, the second, third, and fourth kills would all be separate Rapid Kills. Much like Double Kills, the best way to earn these is by playing fast-paced modes like Face Off and Nuketown 24/7.
What are Fury Kills?
A Fury Kill is rewarded when you get four kills in quick succession. This is similar to a Double Kill but requires twice as many kills.
Much like Double Kills, the best way to get Fury Kills is by playing fast-paced game modes. However, you’ll also want to use a weapon with an extended magazine to avoid reloading, as it can be tricky to get this many kills in one magazine.
What is a Kill Chain?
A Kill Chain is rewarded when you get seven Rapid Kills in a row, making it one of the most difficult multiplayer challenges to complete.
This challenge is only possible on chaotic game modes like Face Off and 10v10, and even then, it requires a lot of skill and luck. Most players will only get a handful of Kill Chains in their time playing Black Ops 6, so it’s a real treat whenever it happens.
