Call of Duty veteran and member of the former OpTic Gaming dynasty, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, might have just accidentally revealed who he’s teaming with in the upcoming franchise league.
One of the most accomplished players in competitive FPS history with countless tournament victories to his name and a 2017 World Championship MVP medal to boot, fans have been hotly anticipating news in relation to where FormaL may end up in the 2020 season.
With a number of subtle nods to former OpTic Gaming teammate Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, the Call of Duty community has been trying to piece together who else would complement the famous ‘T2P’ duo. With this in mind, a massive reveal may have just been accidentally let slip by FormaL himself.
In a September 25 stream, FormaL was playing some rounds of Blackout alongside fellow pro player and 2019 World Champion Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson.
Having died earlier in the match, he was spectating the last remaining player in Arcitys when he said “I love shooting the sh*t out of my teammate…ughh…friend.”
Immediately noticing the error in his speech, FormaL went back on himself and tried to make the correction that Arcitys was purely just a friend and certainly not a member of a yet unannounced roster.

Whether this is an intentional bait or a genuine confirmation of Arcitys teaming with FormaL in the very near future, remains to be seen.
While no concrete information has yet to be revealed for many of the 2020 franchise teams around the world, a few have just started unveiling players and coaches to generate some excitement for their lineups.
Recently pro player Zooma announced that he would be competing for the New York-based franchise flanked by a formidable coaching staff which includes former Evil Geniuses coach John ‘Revan’ Boble, and former MLG statistician JP Krez.
Arcitys (left) recently crowned World Champion alongside his teammates at eUnited.
Similarly, the London and Minnesota-based franchises have recently revealed the core of their starting rosters.
