Fortnite players have been uploading a lot of designs to social media since Creative mode went live, but not many of them look as game-ready as this ‘Risky Rust’ creation.
Based on the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map, Risky Rust features a tall metal structure in the middle with obstacles all around it, just like the classic version of Rust.
A rather dramatic video of the design was posted to YouTube by Team Creativity, showcasing a CoD-style loading screen, how spawning into the map would look and much more.
Team Creativity’s video editor, Joey Veekens, told Dexerto: “I picked Rust because when I was young it was all about Modern Warfare 2. I was a huge console gamer and I loved to have the old school 1 v 1 sniper battles on Rust.”

This is one of the more complete designs which has been posted online so far, and when asked about Risky Rust potentially taking the place of Risky Reels on ‘The Block’, the editor said: “If it’s possible that this will be on The Block then yes, for sure, I would like to see that”.

Veekens understands, though, that Risky Rust is unlikely to feature on the Fortnite map in the future, due to its association with Call of Duty.
A flood of gamers have been quick to upload their designs to social media to share their designs since Creative mode was introduced in Fortnite’s v7.00 patch, with some garnering more attention than others.
The more popular ones tend to be inspired by destinations from popular gaming culture. For example, people have created Call of Duty: Black Ops’ Nuketown map, Pokémon’s Twinleaf Town and The Walking Dead’s Alexandria Safe Zone.
