Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon exploded onto the Call of Duty scene during the Black Ops 4 season, cementing himself as one of the top players in the world. Prior to 2018 though, few would have known much about the SMG superstar.
At the CWL Seattle tournament way back in Call of Duty: WWII, Envoy’s Team WaR roster placed 41-48. The squad, featuring Envoy, Tisch, Super and RobbieB3319, crashed out so low their travel expenses to the tournament were likely not covered by their winnings.
However, despite the poor placing, Envoy’s confidence refused to budge. Just over a year later, during the Black Ops 4 season, his Gen.G roster placed second at the CWL Anaheim 2019 tournament, taking home upwards of $15,000 each. The performance was anchored by Envoy, who boasted an incredible 1.2 K/D against the best in the world.
CWL Anaheim 2019 was not a one off. Across the Black Ops 4 season, Envoy put up an overall K/D of 1.15, proving himself to be capable of beating the best. It was this kind of form that elevated a solid Gen.G roster to title competitors.

When Chicago Huntsmen announced Envoy on their roster, some people were unsure how he’d adapt to being surrounded by some of the all-time greats like Scump and FormaL. Pair that with reigning world champion Arcitys and natural talent Gunless, and you’d be forgiven for thinking he’d be overshadowed.
Despite limited events so far, Envoy has proved beyond doubt he can hang with the world’s best, and can even stand out among them. His rise to stardom has seldom been matched in CoD history, and it doesn’t look like the young gun is slowing down anytime soon.
