Just like every Call of Duty release, fans have been eager to find out what the always popular Gold, Diamond and Dark Matter gun camos look like in Black Ops 4.
While players can always be sure that Gold and Diamond skins will appear in a Call of Duty game, it wasn’t until the new title released on Friday, October 12 that it became certain that a Dark Matter skin had been included.
These infamous skins are not available in the game from the beginning, but require the player to grind and work their way through the weapon’s various challenges to finally unlock these camos.
The brand new Gold camo for this years game is a slightly darker version of the skin compared to the one found in World War II.
To unlock the Gold camo, players need to unlock every other camo available for the weapon by completing the gun’s specific challenges. Once these are completed, the Gold camo will be unlocked, but only available for that weapon.

Diamond camos become available when players unlock the gold skin for every weapon in it’s specific weapon category. For example, if you wanted Diamond for your MX9 submachine gun, you would need to unlock the Gold skin for every other submachine gun.
Dark matter is unlocked when players complete every challenge for every weapon, thus unlocking every skin available in the multiplayer portion of the game. This is the final unlockable camo in the game, and requires an intense amount of grinding to earn.
Unfortunately, while we know Dark Matter is in the game, nobody has been able to unlock the camo yet, so fans will have to be patient for the first look at the new version of the classic skin.
