Gunfight, the upcoming 2v2 mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, has already been revealed to us by streamers, but we’re just now getting our first look at it in action in 4K and it looks amazing.
There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Modern Warfare, Call of Duty’s return to what revolutionized the series, and Gunfight has been a big part of that so far.
Infinity Ward decided to keep the ball rolling with the raw gameplay of the mode, taking place on the Pine map, in its full 4K resolution glory.
The nearly six-minute video shows the incredibly designed environment and how smooth the game looks and runs with the new engine.
This footage was captured on a PS4 Pro, showing that despite the threat of a new console looming, the current model is more than able to show off impressive visuals all while boasting a solid 60 FPS.
A smooth framerate has always been a staple of a good Call of Duty experience and that is no different here. However, with this just being a 2v2 mode that’s to be expected, but that’s not all that’s coming with the new title.

Infinity Ward says Gunfight is the tip of the iceberg and fans will be learning a whole lot more about what the upcoming title has in store during the multiplayer gameplay reveal on August 1.
Early reactions to the new title have been positive so far, despite the little information that we know. Gunfight has been a success for far but Infinity Ward still has more up their sleeve.
The big draw to Black Ops 4 was the addition of the Blackout battle royale mode, but we don’t yet know if Modern Warfare will be keeping the ball rolling with a BR mode of its own.
We hope the majority of the questions we currently have will be answered with the full reveal in August.
