Longtime Call of Duty pro player Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly has announced free agency ahead of the Black Ops 4 CWL Season.
The veteran EU player will be leaving Splyce after spending the last two CWL seasons with them, helping them win one event and place second at five others.
MadCat announced that he will be leaving Splyce in a tweet he posted on August 23.
I am no longer apart of @Splyce, was a decent run but everything comes to an end at one point. Keep it simple the team no longer became a team a long time ago which is not good for anyone. I am not restricted and will be on the look out for a team.
He followed that up with another tweet in response to a comment, confirming that he was not happy as a member of the team.
Nah not really I wasn’t happy in the slightest best for everyone
Splyce confirmed MadCat’s departure with a tweet of their own, wishing their now former player well in the future.

Today we’re parting ways with @MadCat with our deepest gratitude for his two years of service to Splyce’s Call of Duty team. He is a fierce competitor who left his mark on our team, and we wish him best in all his future endeavors.
After moving from Millenium in September 2016 ahead of the Infinite Warfare season, MadCat was one of the integral players that led the Splyce to several successful placings, including the CWL Global Pro League Stage 1 title.
Splyce enjoyed some early success in the WWII season, placing second at both CWL Dallas and Birmingham. However, poor finishes at all of the events that followed, including a 17-24 placing at CWL Champs, was a sign that the team was falling apart and changes were due to be made.
It is not yet clear where MadCat will end up for the Black Ops 4 season, but considering his 8 year veteran experience and integral role in several successful rosters, he will likely be back in the Pro League next season.
