Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s gameplay is set to receive some major updates in the coming future, according to a tweet from one of the game’s designers.
The newest Black Ops title has received consistent updates since its release back on October 12 but with any game, some issues remain – especially when it comes to the balancing of guns.
Yet, Treyarch game designer Tony Flame let a little bit of info loose about some upcoming vital game updates, including gun balancing, when responding to fans on Twitter on January 25.
Flame tweeted: “Looking at some trends in my notifications – YES there will be a balance pass coming at weapons. This includes looks at unique population slices like Hardcore and PC, each weapon class, Attachments, etc. (some of you may be looking for just one word: Snipers) No date set, WIP.”
However, with Flame labelling the update as ‘WIP’ – a work in progress – and stating that there is no date set yet, fans will just have to wait until the update comes out for the changes to guns and modes like Hardcore.

Flame also issued an update on the release of League Play in Black Ops 4, adding that Treyarch are working to “deliver the definitive competitive experience” to their players.
The Treyarch designer alluded to the fact that news about League Play is expected to come in the next week but there is still no firm date for its release.
