Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward has released the first update for Modern Warfare in 2020, adding a new Shipment 24/7 playlist, Gun Game, and a new variant of Gunfight.
Season 1 continues to roll on in Modern Warfare living up to its title as the biggest post-launch content drop in Call of Duty history.
As part of that initiative, on January 7, Infinity Ward released a small update changing up the playlists and modes available in multiplayer.
The update added Shipment 24/7 as the featured playlist, a new version of Gunfight that is 1v1 mode, and Gun Game, replacing the new Grind mode that was introduced the week prior.

Playlist Update – January 7
Shipment 24/7
Shipment is now available in Modern Warfare as a standalone 24/7 playlists for the first time since the map was added earlier in Season 1.
It’s the third time that the iconic CoD4 map has featured in a 24/7 playlist – it was first packed with Vacant when the two maps were first released, then it was combined with Shoot House in Shoot the Ship.
Unfortunately for a lot of players, the addition of this new playlist means that the fan-favorite Shoot House 24/7 is no longer available, which could spark frustration from the player-base.

Every time Shoot House 24/7 has been removed in favor of something else, Infinity Ward end up bringing it back because of widespread player complaints.
1v1 Gunfight
Gunfight remains one of the more popular multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare and now Infinity Ward have added a new 1v1 variant for players to enjoy
This means that solo players will now be able to queue into matches by themselves and not have to be paired up with random teammates, which can make matches difficult to win.

That said, players will be happy to know that the 2v2 version of Gunfight is still available for those who prefer the classic variant of the mode.
IW had hinted in the past that they were looking into different versions of Gunfight, specifically mentioning the 1v1 and 3v3 variants, so this could mean that the latter may also be added sooner rather than later.
