MW3 players delighted with return of “beautiful” classic red dot
While it’s a fairly simple reticle, it’s easy to say players have been delighted by the return of the classic red dot sight.
In a March 8 Reddit thread, tons of players praised the devs over the attachment’s return to the game for the first time since 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. “Thank you SHG for adding the classic COD red dot,” one player wrote.

In the replies to the post, others echoed the same, thanking the devs for bringing back the “beautiful” sight attachment.
“It’s beautiful,” one player simply wrote. “There’s nothing better than running an m4 with classic red dot in this game,” said another.
However, some hit out with their frustrations, making note that the red dot reticle isn’t available on all weapons. “It’s not available on some guns! Lame,” they said. Particularly, one player explained that the sight can’t be selected on certain submachine gun weapons.
Not only that, the red dot sight doesn’t change depending on the weapon’s camo, unlike other optics. Regardless, players are still delighted that it’s finally made its return to CoD after years.
