Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded: Release Date
MW3’s Season 2 Reloaded goes live on March 6, 2024, at 9 AM PT | 12 PM EST. Once the patch goes live, you can hop in and experience all the new content across Warzone, MW3’s multiplayer, and the Zombies mode.
Fan-favorite map returns for Season 2 Reloaded
Das Haus arrives mid-season and has seen a complete makeover compared to its Vanguard counterpart. It now takes place in an under-construction skyscraper set in close vicinity to MW3’s Highrise. The developers confirmed you can spot Highrise from one of Das Haus’ spawn points.
New playlist and map variants debuting in Season 2 Reloaded
Season 2 Reloaded will debut the Vortex: Decay’s Realm Playlist, a playlist consisting of all the twisted map variants — Tetanus, Sporeyard, and Satan’s Quarry. Players will compete in Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on said map map variants.
The Reloaded update will also debut two new map variants, Skidgrow and Airborne, variants of Skidrow and Terminal. There will also be a special in-game event, Vortex: Decay’s Realm, held sometime toward the end of the season.
New modes joining in Season 2 Reloaded
Two new modes join via the Reloaded update, Juggermosh and Bounty. Both were teased during the Season 2 update reveal, however, the former mode will see players don the iconic Warhammer 40K outfits, and the Chainsword is the special one-hit melee weapon.
- Juggermosh
- All-out third-person, Juggernaut combat within Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint.
- Air support Killstreaks only.
- A special one-hit kill melee weapon will spawn in the middle of the map.
- Enemy health bars are shown above their heads and downing a foe lets you pick up armor plates.
- No fall damage occurs in this mode, and falling from extreme heights will create an area-of-effect stun.
- Players don the “Ultramar’s Vengeance” Ultramarines and “Baal’s Wrath” Blood Angels Space Marine Juggernaut Recon Killstreak Skins. However, this skin isn’t a permanent unlock unless you buy the Tracer pack.
- Bounty
- Eliminate enemy players until the score limit is reached to win.
- Plays like TDM, an HVT is marked giving extra points provided a team downs the target.
Zombies: New Warlord and three new schematics
Keres arrives as the new Warlord in MWZ and can be found in Killhouse at Orlov Military Base. She’ll be heavily defended by guards, turrets, snipers, and poison gas grenades. Gas masks are highly recommended.
After breaching her fortress, players will deal with a new gas compound stopping them from facing the Warlord. Provided they get through that, Keres will put up a hard fight with her unique weaponry.

Aside from that, three new schematics arrive as part of the update:
- Mags of Holding (Schematic)
- Skip the reload and pull ammo directly from your weapon’s ammo stash, so you can keep pumping out damage without needing to stop and fill up again.
- Blood Burner Key (Schematic)
- Need a sick ride? Look no further. With the Blood Burner Key, you can summon this two-wheeler Wonder Vehicle at will. Cruise in style with this nearly indestructible bike that can move across water and is fueled by the blood of zombies you flatten under its tires. Surrounded? Activate the bike’s Aether Pulse ability to blast enemies in near proximity.
- V-R11 Wonder Weapon (Schematic)
- In battle, every ally counts. Bolster your numbers using the V-R11 Wonder Weapon, capable of transforming zombies into friendly mercenaries and mercenaries into friendly zombies. Squadmate getting swarmed? You can also target allies with the V-R11, providing them temporary immunity from zombie aggression.
Warzone Season 2 Reloaded overview
New POI
- Research Vessel (Mobile Point of Interest)
- Reports of a pontoon-style watercraft off the coast of Fortune’s Keep have been confirmed as the ship arrives offshore in the mid-season update. Climb aboard once you spot it, because this mobile POI stays on the move throughout the first two minutes of a match, before dropping anchor in one of a few predetermined locations.
- Once onboard, players can:
- Access a decontamination station that works like the PDS (see below).
- Watch for enemies after activating the UAV tower.
- Purchase unique and exclusive items from the special Buy Station.
- Toot the vessel’s horn to prove you’ve stormed the ship, and if you’d like more enemy interest in your current whereabouts.
- Pilot the helicopter (or another chopper) onto the helipad.
- Investigate the [[REDACTED]] and unlock the loot-filled [[REDACTED]].
Bunker Buster killstreak
Pinned down by enemy snipers holed up in the building across the street? Instead of charging them head-on and wishing for the best, pull out your binoculars and target the building with the new Bunker Buster Killstreak. Once this is activated, watch your enemies bite the dust as a missile drops down on the building, sending an explosive blast through multiple floors and leaving a column of gas in its wake.
Portable Decontamination Station Field Upgrade
Clear away the gas using the new Portable Decontamination Station (PDS) Field Upgrade. With this item, you decide when it’s time to move. Emitting a cloud of chemicals that counteracts the corrosive effects of the circle gas, a temporary safe zone is created for all Operators within its area of effect, though it’s also available on the Tac Map for all Operators to see. Note that the duration of this Field Upgrade shortens after the sixth circle of gas.
Looking for mobile gas protection? Attach the PDS to your vehicle and clear the way. The Field Upgrade can also be deployed in the water and near a Buy Station to reactivate it.
New Weapons and Aftermarket Parts
Season 2 Reloaded introduces two new weapons, the SOA Subverter Battle Rifle and the Soulrender Melee. The former is unlocked via completing Weekly Challenges, while the latter is unlocked via a set of challenges within the new mid-season Sector in the Season 2 Battle Pass.
Along with that, two new Aftermarket Parts join the rotation, unlockable via weekly challenges The JAK Backsaw Kit for the Holger 556: “attaches a high-capacity drum magazine to the Holger 556 alongside a double-barrel configuration allowing the weapon to fire two bullets at a time.”
On the other hand, the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit for the Bas-B: “transforms the BAS-B into a lever-action rifle, slowing its rate of fire while massively improving its accuracy for pinpoint precision.”
