Black Ops 6’s first major update will be Season 1, bringing the first Battle Pass, new maps, weapons, and more, but when does it arrive?
Ahead of Season 1 starting, Treyarch has already rolled out a few exciting updates. On Oct. 29, BO6 re-introduced the iconic game mode Infected and made a few Face-Off and Kill Order changes to improve the experience of both game modes.
In addition, BO6 finally marks the return of Nuketown, as the fan-favorite map received a faithful remaster for the first time in 14 years.
Here’s everything we know about when BO6 and Warzone Season 1 arrive.
When is Black Ops 6 Season 1?
Black Ops 6 Season 1 officially arrives on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
This is a break from the usual schedule, as new seasons usually begin on Wednesdays. Treyarch confirmed that there will be all-new Multiplayer maps and modes, but did not reveal what else fans can expect just yet.

Treyarch did not reveal an official release date for BO6 Ranked Play but previously stated that it would be at “the start of” Season 1.
When is Warzone Season 1?
Warzone Season 1 arrives the same day as Black Ops 6 Season 1, bringing the brand-new Area 99 map alongside all of Black Ops 6’s weapons, Operators, and Omnimovement.
Area 99 is the latest Resurgence map in the Nevada desert, miles from the original Nuketown location. Players already got a sneak peek of gameplay at CoD Next, but they don’t have to wait much longer before testing the new map.
Urzikstan Ranked Play will finally arrive with the update, too, with Raven Software confirming its arrival “shortly after the launch of Season 1.”
In the meantime, you can check out everything we know about Verdansk’s return which is scheduled for early 2025.
